FOSP

FRIENDS OF SHIPSTON PRIMARY

Every day at the school parents, carers, guardians, school staff and members of the local community help and support Shipston Primary in many different ways. Without this support the school would be a lesser place for our children to flourish in their development and learning.

FOSP is part of this support process and came into being in 2010 when the then PTA decided that a fresh approach was required. The idea behind FOSP is to be as open and inclusive as possible to the whole school community. The FOSP constitution allows for all parents, carers, guardians and school staff to be members.

People are sometimes reluctant to get involved. This is because they feel that they will then become obliged to attend all the FOSP meetings or volunteer for all the activities and fundraising events that take place over the year. This is most definitely not the case and everyone is free to help as little or as much as they wish to.

There is an open invitation to all to FOSP meetings which are held once a term. The dates are publicised well in advance in the school newsletter. Please do come along to a FOSP meeting if and when you can.
