School Clubs

We offer a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs. Thank you to all members of staff who contribute to this.

  • To promote lifelong learning.
  • To develop new skills engaging children in fun, creative, quality learning activities.
  • To improve self-esteem, motivation and confidence.
  • To involve the community and partner organisations.
  • To raise standards and recognise achievement.
  • Develop perseverance and responsibility.

We expect children to attend all of the sessions, unless there is a genuine reason for not being present.  We encourage parents to help children develop perseverance and responsibility by seeing through the commitment they have made when joining a club.  If your child cannot make a club we expect you to inform staff promptly to ensure that they know that your child is safe.

Children joining sports clubs will have preference when representative teams are chosen.

1st April 2021

I am very pleased to announce that we will be running after school PE clubs next term for children in Key Stage 2. These will be run by Mr Cox and Mr Taylor from Onside Coaching and will run for 12 weeks, from the first week back after Easter (w/b 19th April) until the second week in July (w/b 12th July).

The clubs will be PE based and will allow children more time to socialise and play with their classmates, something we recognise has been a challenge for all of our children this year.

Classes will be run on the following days with children remaining in their class bubbles for their club:

Y3 – every Monday 3.15pm – 4.15pm

Y4 – every Tuesday 3.15pm – 4.15pm

Y5 – every Thursday 3.15pm – 4.15pm

Y6 – every Friday 3.15pm – 4.15pm

These clubs are offered free to you and are available to all children in KS2.

If you wish your child(ren) to attend the PE club, please complete the form sent to all parents via SchoolPing on 1.4.21.

If you have any problems signing up please contact Onside:

Please note that these are not drop in clubs. If you sign up for the club, it is expected that children attend every week.

All children must be collected from their classroom at 4.15pm using the KS2 gates on Tilemans Lane. Y3 children should attend school in their PE kit on Mondays if they are attending the club. Y4,5 and 6 have PE on their day so should be in PE kit anyway.

We will also be starting after school Maths and English clubs after Easter for invited children across each year group from Y2 –Y6. A separate letter will be sent to families identified tomorrow – please check your School Ping account.

Many thanks for all of your continued support.
